2 weeks back to school. U guess? OF COZ STILL LATE LA!
The strings of “LATENESS” have yet to be broken yet, woah & I’m buffing up good records of being LATE. Classes have been the same too. It’s either the lecturer’s feeding us with some drowsy content, or, it’s just that my friends and I were so excited upon seeing each other that we couldn’t keep our mouths tight. Talk, talk, talk, and talk.
Zoom. And, BUSY is gonna punch me hard in the face soon. All the projects and class tests. ROAR!!!
Literally translated “You’re fallen for me” (also known as Heartstrings) is hot on my K-drama list right now!
Basically, here’s the spynosis if you are interested:
Lee Shin (acted by Jung Yong Hwa) is a university student majoring in modern music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of the band “The Stupid.” Shin is known for his good looks and strong passion for music, but in reality he is cold, lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future. He initially likes Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor at university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won (acted by Park Shin Hye).
Lee Kyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, especially the gayageum. Kyu Won’s grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather’s expectations, Kyu Won immerses herself in training and becomes a university student who knows nothing outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of “The Stupid”, she was forced to go to the band’s concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him.
In short, hm… this is such a typically idol drama. But I’ll still be supporting this drama coz I LOVE PARK SHIN HYE! =DD Starring in the famous korean melancholic drama “Stairway to Heaven”, Park Shin Hye is a total grown up girl right now, looking so gorgeous without any plastic on her face. Even if you are not a K-fan, you should be able to recognize Park Shin Hye from all the emblazoning Etude House’s posters whenever you strolled passed Orchard MRT linkway or other Etude’s branches in Singapore.
More photos of the drama:
I super love this (above) photo ok!!!!! I also wanna do such a photoshoot!!
Am I being propaganda by McDonald? Assuredly not a single hinge of doubt YES I AM, or perhaps I think I am. I am a marketing student myself, but yet at the same time I can’t seem to escape the clutches of what marketing has done to psycho me to fond the brand. All the loud & catchy advertisements, the you won’t lose out 1-for-1 promotions, the perceived value, the branding, and all the other marketing craps seem to work its way in the consumer me.
And I can say McDonald did little effort to hit me on this one:
Even though I would prefer the original Cinnamon Melt, this 1-for-1 coupon presents NO EXCUSE for you not to treat yourself to some simple chocolicious delight, right?

Anyway I snipped my hair short, not so short, but still ‘short’ consider the extent of my previous hair length. Today is the second day back school and the release of project assignments and announcement of class tests (which will commence exactly 3 weeks later) are executing as an impending stress fortress to me now. And, it further affirms me that I’ve made the right decision to snip my hair off. Cause, I’m going to be real busy soon!!
Ever heard of U by Kotex ? No doubt you will recognize the brand name Kotex, but does ‘U by Kotex’ deliver a sense of familiarity to you?
For those that are not imparted with this knowledge, let me narrate you with the gist of how ‘U by Kotex’ came about:
“In this 21st century, engaging in open conversations about intimate health issues is no longer taboo. However, a recent survey has revealed that 70% of women are helpless about how the society are embarrassed about the conversation surrounding women’s health, also known as menstruation or vaginal care. Identifying this as a problem, Kotex has launched its latest “U by Kotex” product along with the “break the cycle” tagline to encourage women to change the conversation about periods and vaginal care from one of shame and embarrassment to one of open, honest dialogue.”
You can log onto their website (http://www.ubykotex.com/) and be intrigued by how Kimberly Clark skillfully marketed & engage their products with the consumers.
Here at your convenience, I’ve extracted a video from their website narrating a situation where one confused guy gets advice from strangers about which period products to get for his girlfriend. Recommended for you to watch (it’s somewhat hilarious)!
My group and I see that reaching out to the men is a lucrative option because no existing feminine care companies have ever done that in history. All the current communications are only directed towards the females; it does not communicate to the men at all. For instance, men will not be bothered to watch any sanitary pad commercials that are currently running on their TV screens. As a result, men do not get anything out the communications program.
In conclusion, we have decide to venture on “U by Kotex” for our Marketing Communication Project.
Our suggestion is that we can further augment on the “break the cycle” strategy, so that men can also feel comfortable to talk about feminine care and feel proud of buying feminine care products for the women around them. However this does not means that we are forgetting about our core consumers – the females. While the females continue to purchase Kotex, the men are now getting involved in breaking the cycle by actually buying the pads personally for their girlfriend or wife or female friends as an expression of care and concern.

A myriad of thanks to the external help rendered from my boyfriend Simon Chua, his sister Florence Chua, and Jermaine (aka baby Ting), the project was a much success clan with a High Distinction title.
