Magical Eyeliner

In love with Kpop Group T-ARA’s Park Ji Yeon eyeliner makeup ever since she debut in her Roly Poly (or even way before that) album. Didn’t know exactly the precise moment that I fell for her eyeliner, but right now I am totally hot over heels with it. Very captivating.

Wanted to go for this look so I tried seeking advice from youtube as there are lots of make-up tutorials posted by many different users across the globe. Fumbled here and there, I skipped thru some steps, including the application of eye-shadow and falsies and I managed to fix my eyes with a somewhat-near-there look:

Plainly just liquid eyeliner, eye pencil and mascara on the eyes. And applying these alone are time-consuming enough already.. Sorry for the low-quality as it is a self-shot from my iphone 4s front camera.

Anybody who has tips, pls share!!

Weekend Getaway

Just came back not long ago from Batam’s trip yet the feeling to hitch on another holiday hit me hard again. It’s really good to have a break, but instead of feeling energetic and re-charged for work again, I’m more stuck in the languishing mood where I hate to trek my feet back to work. Okayysss… I think it’s time I should let go the bondage of blues (the extended Monday blues effect due to the vacation) and throw some photos out to share with you guys on the trip.

Wanting to have full control over the itinerary, we decided to organize our very own Free & Easy and not stick to any deals or groupons thingy that (I suppose) will clamp our schedule down. I’m not saying that there’s not good.. but just that I would really appreciate the freedom that we could have owned. Though take note, it might cost slightly a few penny more, probably around 20 bucks. Afterall you should know that travel agents can bargain a better rate for you as they are booking in bulk as compared to your one tenny-wenny booking.

Now.. this is the hotel where we have nested in during the stay: The BCC Hotel & Residences (http://www.thebcchotel.com/).

while waiting for the guys to check in, cam-whore is a must =)

Initially we wanted a connecting room (even requested for one) but they don’t seems to understand and we ended up with a double twin and a king on level 17 separately. Thumbs down for their ability in English.

And ta-tah! The interiors of our room,

The very cool open concept bathroom (FYI you can wind down the curtain from the inside so people please don;t let your thoughts run wild! I must declare this becoz i can fathom that someone is thinking otherwise already).

Entering the bathroom,

And Simon dived in straight for the bed.. not for sleep, but for the TV! In fact he literally threw down his bags & tuned in to the channels when we first checked in.

Dinner at Harbourbay was absolutely fabulous. Naturally you could not the parallel the standard of the food to those of Jumbo’s, neither can you benchmark the seaside view to those of Gold Coast, but the price of the seafood dinner definitely is a steal!

Gloria captured this photo of Simon snapping the scene down. Beautiful ain’t it?! Like some solitary moments that  one would like spend.

And rounds and rounds of photo-taking session, of us, the scene, and the food.

Did I mention that the wind was really strong?! You can see that both Gloria & me had a hard time fighting against the wind to keep our hair from flying into our face.

Yums yums. Sambal Kangkong, fried mayo prawns, hot plate tofu, omelette fu-rong egg, and gravy stingray, along with 4 glasses of ice lemon tea. And how much does it sums up to be?! Less than S$10 per pax!

Bidding goodbye to the restaurant:

Back to the hotel,. we were all spent and supper appealed very much. Something light would be good (since we had a hearty dinner!) so we ordered a club sandwich and a pot of Camille tea before we scum off to bed and doze off eventually..

That’s all for now! Shall end off with some photos that Gloria & me had cam-whored in the ferry.  Have a nice day people!

No Greater Love

Image

Bill and his wife were driving through the Rocky Mountains when a near-miss with a truck caused their car to swerve off the road and plunge into the Colorado River. After scrambling out of their sinking vehicle, they frantically treaded water in the swift current. A truckdriver, who had seen the accident, ran ahead along the shore and threw a rope to them. Bill swam behind his wife and pushed her to where she could grab the rope—and the man pulled her out. Bill, however, was carried downstream and didn’t survive. He had given his life for the woman he loved.

To give your life so another person can live is the ultimate proof of love. During the night that Jesus was betrayed, He told His disciples of His intention to give His life in exchange for mankind. He told them: “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13). And then He set the ultimate example of self-sacrifice by going to the cross.

Have you ever given any thought to the fact that Jesus did that for you—that He died in your place? In so doing, He not only proved His love for you, but He also made it possible for you to be forgiven of your sins and to have an eternal home in heaven. (Our Daily Bread, 6 April 2012).

Dear friends, Jesus’s love for you had gone to the extent where He can even lay down His life for you. What a privilege that we are given this chance of salvation and granted access to heaven. Not by our on work’s, by by His Grace. And I would like to share this piece of good news to all of you, turn to him today =)

Favorite styles

I would like to share with you some of my favorite styles, the manner in which I would really love to adorn myself in. Though I am no longer a student, I still very much enjoy wearing such causal yet stylish outfits. Thank God some are suitable for office wear too =)

And a hint of Roly Poly to match my days =)

If only Singapore weather can share some of autumn’s cooling weather… it is not a problem for me to dress in such a fashion. Yes I still can try wearing the blazer and walk the lane of Orchard Road… but I guess I’ll probably end up looking more like a drenched chick then a stylish chic.

Heart itchy!!! Hahahahaha! Need to go shopping soon =p

Challenge to keep the blog afloat

It has been a month since I last blogged. Now that I officially joined the workforce, I find that it’s a really big challenge to keep your blog alive. (Gloria, now I fully understand your situation!)

Even if you got sparse time on your hand, you’ll just be (either) too lazy or too tired to blog. In the end you will be doing else things like surfing the net, watching TV, or retreating to some sort of entertainment.

On the other hand, to retain my past identity as a student, it is great to enjoy privileges such as flexibility of time, mobility of freedom, wearing slacks (I love shorts & slippers!), not being punctual for school, and all etc, minus the fact that your pocket remains empty. Man you can go really broke. Or you can try finding a sugar mum (or dad) to finance your expenses. Hahs.

Meanwhile… I have so much fun cam-whoring with Simon! HAHAHA! I love iphone apps! =D

End of 1st week

Today marks the end of the first week of work. With that, I came to fully appreciate the TGIF effect =) This is because as a student (for the past 21 yrs ???), Fridays didn’t matter that much and doesn’t highlight any difference to a weekend. As long as you do not have lessons or project meetings for that day, basically you’re free. Even when you have lectures to attend, at most it’ll only take a few hours unlike the full 8 hours (or even more) you’re going to trudge in the working university.

Anyway the hectic-ness haven really kick in for me yet, becoz, as I’ve mentioned, it’s only my first week of work. But I believe as time goes by, more responsibilities will be added, more working functions to learn, and more tasks to handle. And that’s where the OT picture will seep in right!

Camwhored abit when I came back from my interview 3 weeks ago. Hair bann-ed my hair becos that’s the period where I had just snipped off my fringe and nope, I’m not going to show you my Sotong Girl Look (SGL – nick created by Simon)!!

Anyway if you’ve realized, I have a really high forehead and I don’t look good when I banned up my hair in this manner too.. but still, at least better than the SGL la.
